Being an Ambassador
We are so grateful you've decided to join us as an AHS Neighborhood Ambassador. Your key goals are:
-
Plan and implement projects to promote responsible pet ownership & community cat care to improve the overall welfare of animals in the community
-
Connect with, educate, and assist community members regarding community cats and issues
- Approach the Ambassador Program with a nonjudgmental, problem-solving mindset
Other AHS opportunities
If you're looking to get involved with the Atlanta Humane Society in other ways as well, we hope you'll consider becoming a Volunteer or Foster!
Additionally, our Pets in Crisis Support Program offers temporary foster homes for the pets of those facing eviction or domestic violence at home. We'd love to tell you more!

Kitten Kits
We’ve created Kitten Kits that are filled with all the essentials kitten finders will need to raise and care for kittens until they are old enough to find their forever homes.
This program encourages self-rehoming whenever possible.

Featured Animal of the Month
Things can get stressful. That's why we look at silly furry things!
Who is this featured Animal?
This is August Smith. He was a TNR kitten. Coming in at just 1.8 pounds, the vet was worried about him going back out after surgery. Luckily, he was adopted by Raevin's best friend. He is now 13 pounds and happy with his big sister, Moomin.
